We can no longer afford to be divided. What unites us are the mystical teachings of our religions—the universal teachings of love, not the politics that divide. The laws are the same: the beautiful teachings of Sufism, Christian mysticism, Hinduism—it’s all the same. If we were to study only the mystical teachings, you wouldn’t know where they came from, because love is love is love. And that is the true practice of God in the world.
