Josie Aprahamian

Josie launched her business, The Altared Heart, in 2019 after years of dedicated study and preparation as a spiritual guide. Josie also serves as the Director of CMED’s Sacred Contracts Online Program. She is a Certified Archetypal Consultant, Spiritual Director, Astrologer, and Certified End-of-Life Doula. In addition to her work alongside Caroline Myss, Josie has studied the work of respected mystics and teachers such as Carl Jung, Thomas Merton, Richard Rohr, James Finley, Richard Tarnas, Mirabai Starr, Cynthia Bourgeault, the Jungian Center for the Spiritual Sciences, the Assisi Institute, and the Center for Applied Jungian Studies.

A follower of the Christian mystical tradition and the perennial wisdom teachings, Josie also practices earth-based spirituality and honors the traditions of Native peoples. Josie blends these spiritual principles with Caroline Myss’s teachings, weaving together Jungian psychology, archetypal analysis, astrology, spiritual direction, and ancient wisdom traditions to offer a rich and holistic framework for healing and self-discovery.

Josie’s background includes a decade of experience in the mental health field, with a focus on crisis counseling for domestic violence survivors and addiction recovery. An avid runner and writer, Josie lives a life of quiet devotion in the Sangre de Cristo Mountains of Northern New Mexico with two dogs, a cat, and a horse.
