New Sacred Contracts Online Course Starting April 15, 2026!
Following our exploration of the Prostitute, we now turn to the Saboteur archetype—the Guardian of Choice and the Agent of Change. Caroline Myss teaches that the Saboteur is not an outside force working against us, but the inner archetype that reveals where we undermine our own empowerment. The Saboteur governs our power of choice, which Caroline emphasizes is our greatest power—greater even than love, because we must choose to love. This places the Saboteur in a position of profound authority within our psyche, appearing every time we are given an opportunity to empower ourselves. It reflects our unconscious fear of change and, in its shadow expression, often makes itself known through disruption and chaos—usually self-generated—revealing where we are avoiding a truth that would require us to change.
The Saboteur is a strategist, operating in both shadow and light. In shadow it often hides in familiar patterns such as procrastination, overthinking, and drama, especially when we receive clear inner guidance but ignore it. In its light, the Saboteur reveals the moment when we must decide whether to empower ourselves or betray ourselves. It is the active agent of choice and change, reminding us that transformation occurs through the accumulation of micro-choices, and that it is not only what we choose, but the energy with which we choose, that ultimately shapes the outcome.
In this seven-week Sacred Contracts Online Course, we will explore the Saboteur through the twelve astrological houses of the Chart of Origin. Our first session focuses on understanding the Saboteur itself—how it operates in both shadow and light and how it governs our relationship to empowerment and conscious choice, including its movement through Caroline’s Building Metaphor. Over the following six sessions, we will move through the houses two at a time, examining how this archetype manifests across different areas of life—from identity and relationships to vocation, community, and spiritual purpose.

Schedule:
Meets on Zoom weekly for 7 weeks on Wednesdays from 12:00 to 1:30 pm Eastern Time beginning April 15, 2026 and ending June 3, 2026. CMED reserves the right to make occasional schedule changes due to unforeseen circumstances.
