Why Spiritual Direction Changes Everything

I believe deep in my heart and soul that this human community is undergoing the most profound transformation in the history of humanity. An epoch is being born. A new universe is trying to come into formation.

In this opening session of Spiritual Homebase, I want to talk to you about what I call the symbolic site report — and about spiritual direction, which is an incredibly different way of approaching the journey of life. Not a search-and-destroy mission for why it happened and who’s the culprit. Spiritual direction asks: what guidance is coming out of this for you? What are you meant to figure out right now?

People do this thing they call processing. They tell the story again and again. But where does that lead you? Spiritual direction goes for the guidance. It is that gentle dialogue that takes the fear out of the experiences you’re going through and helps you begin to see them as something you need to move through — and this is what you need to decide.

That is what we are here to do together.
