Caroline recently reconnected with her good friend Ken Wilber, and had a deeply heartfelt and inspiring conversation—indeed, a conversation worth sharing. Author of books such as The Simple Feeling of Being, Grace and Grit, and Integral Spirituality, Ken is always a delightful presence when discussing matters of body, mind, soul, and spirit.
Coming together in a space of profound trust and appreciation, Caroline tells her story of "the perfect storm" of events that led her to the work of St. Teresa of Avila, and Teresa's time-honored mystical text, The Interior Castle. Confined to her house due to a potentially serious health issue, and already reeling from the impact of two other major life events, Caroline had no choice but to enter her own Interior Castle, and to find the sacred treasures therein. Caroline then shares how this transformative journey became the inspiration for her most recent book, Entering the Castle (forthcoming).
Ken is a wonderful companion in this dialogue, and goes on to share his own deep appreciation for St. Teresa, and how the Interior Castle's stages of intimacy and even union with Spirit can be understood in terms of a more comprehensive, inclusive, and integral spirituality.
You can find this conversation—along with two other fantastic dialogues Caroline and Ken have done together—on Ken's website, Integral Naked. The first month is always free to new members, and includes access to over three years of audio and video content with teachers such as Deepak Chopra, Elizabeth Lesser, Surya Das, Sally Kempton, and many others.
Caroline is this week's Featured Guest at Integral Naked, and you are warmly invited to join in on this touching, insightful exploration of the Interior Castle in all of us….
