Archetypal library as an audio recording

Dear All:
I am so pleased to announce that in June I will be doing an archetypal library as an audio recording. This is an idea that has been in the works for a long, long time and I am just delighted to finally have the time to take on this rather arduous but extremely essential project that is a part of the expanding library of educational tools associated with the study of Sacred Contracts. The project involves my doing an audio version of a description of the various archetypes. Obviously I can't take on the entire pantheon of archetypes, but I will certainly be covering the dozens and dozens that are the backbone of our work.
For me, teaching people to explore their life path from the perspective that they (you) were assigned Contracts prior to your life here on this earth has become a part of my personal spiritual work as well as my academic work. It's extraordinary, really, how you can begin a chapter of your life from a research perspective but as a result of working with hundreds and hundreds of people, their lives change your own life so profoundly. I'm convinced, for example, that the question asked most often by people in the privacy of their own thoughts (or the one they work hardest to avoid asking) is, "For what reason(s) have I been born?" That is not a simple question; it is a terrifying one because it is also an archetype - that is, the "pursuit of purpose" is an archetypal journey in and of itself. Each person is born with a yearning to pursue his or her purpose - that is a desire no one can quell. I have often wondered if the real root - the archetypal root, that is - of alcoholism or drug addiction or the maintenance of your own "spells" (another rich topic - the archetype of Spells and Other Such Cosmic Phenomenon - which I am introducing in the beginning of the next Sacred Contract class 2006 - because these types of subjects need to be studied along side your own Contract) - back to the sentence: I have often wondered if the archetypal root of alcoholism or drug addiction is the fear of the pursuit of purpose and thus the need to find a way to drug the primal instinct that is your first encounter with the fundamentally ambitious nature of your spirit.
I had an intriguing conversation the other day with a Jungian analyst on the subject of symbolic language and its value in a world spinning out-of-control in chaos. We spoke about so many different topics related to this one theme and one of the truths we discussed is that when a culture enters a cycle of chaos, whether local or global, but in this case global, always a faction of the culture will retreat into fundamentalist beliefs as a way of "securing the hatches", as if that can slow down the increasing speed of change. The other faction of society leans toward the symbolic, spiritual, mystical, and archetypal realm - like two teams playing a game of tug-of-war, only it isn't a game and neither side is supposed to win or lose. Change is simply change and change has speeded up, so much so that if you were locked up in isolation beginning today for the rest of your life, you would still not have enough time to write down all the changes that occurred only on this one day of your life in this world, not just to you, but around you. But those changes that occur around you include you..Such is the nature of the holographic universe.
For all that is uncertain during these times of change and turmoil, you can count on a few things that are "givens": first, the choices that you make in your life these days hold more significance than ever before. There is no such thing as a small or insignificant choice. Every thing you do or say has a much greater "cosmic field effect" in the whole of your life than in previous times. What do I mean by previous times? I mean that there was "a time" when your thoughts and your inner life was much more CHOOSE ONE or SEVERAL: innocent/naïve/content/focused/secure/fill it in yourself. It's different now. Everyday the news from the world as well as news from your personal life is filled with more signals and messages of change or impending changes than ever before. Nothing is stable any longer - no more pension plans, maybe social security is going to get the ax, who knows what terrorism has in store for us, medical care is outrageous, all forms of stability that held our social lives intact are rapidly getting the rug pulled out from under them - and that's just from the greater sphere of our lives. Nothing is the same.
In previous times of chaos, and there have been many in the history of humanity - history is the study of chaos and survival and rebuilding - always a spiritual renaissance has been the salvation of cultures in decline. This time, this era, the decline is far more dramatic. The decline is archetypal. It is global. It is environmental. But this is the nature of transformation and evolution. You can't say we haven't been expecting this. The question is, of course, what does all of this mean for you? Where do you fit in the midst of this?
Whenever the heavens dismantle your life in any way, it is always an opportunity to wonder, "What door is being opened for me? What am I supposed to discover about myself next? What part of my spirit is meant to come into empowerment during this time?" This is where the exploration of your Sacred Contract becomes such an intriguing study…go into the cosmic reasons for your birth. Take on the journey of excavating your spiritual power and its highest potential and let that open up the second chapter of your life here on this earth.
One of the classes in the study of Sacred Contracts is on Fate versus Destiny. In that class, I teach the students how to cast their Fate-Destiny wheels using 36 archetypes…whew, it's an undertaking. However, with that chart, they begin a year-long journey of transformation as that chart provides them with a tool through which they can discern - and clearly so - the difference between what it means to hand over their life to the weight of fate as opposed to following the power of their destiny. I recently asked these CMED students for a check-in letter to see how they were doing so far since they cast this chart at the beginning of this year and in keeping with the power of this tool, their life changes are extraordinary - wild in some cases. Fate and Destiny are actual forces, again, archetypal energies, that are "engaged" through working with your archetypes through these wheels. You do change your life with this work and while you're life will change any way, the entire meaning of becoming "conscious" is to change "consciously" - to make choices about your destiny with awareness. Unawareness is tossing your life over to Fate…which means into the net of fear. Who would do that if you have the choice to live and learn a more conscious way?
Obviously I love teaching Sacred Contracts…I love watching people wake up to their soul's potential and then observe their lives take flight - incredible….which is why I am so excited about doing an audio recording of a library of archetypes.
My next class on Sacred Contracts begins in 2006, of course, and in this next class, I'll be introducing more new ideas and methods of chart interpretation because I am always learning and testing this and that in the privacy of my own research. There is always so much to learn, including how to work with archetypes on healing profiles and basic decision-making insights - which is an upcoming subject for one of the next CMED classes. Sooooo much……all good stuff. Don't hesitate to send in questions if you have any regarding this program, by the way. The class size is limited which serves the intensity of the subject matter.
