(Co-host, David Smith with his son Joey, The Western Wall in the midst of the Old City in Jerusalem. 2007)
Greetings, Israel travelers
We are getting very close to departure date to the Holy Land and wanted to go over a few last minute details.
• Cindy@myss.com has sent out letters and Travel packets to all myss travelers.
US students should have received their CMED/Myss gift and informational letter.
Non US students will receive their CMED/Myss gift when we arrive in Israel, but should have received their informational letter.
Here is a link to that informational letter once again.
Information Packet Letter - http://www.myss.com/CMED/workshops/israel/Israel4.html
Extremely important to verify your expiration date on your passport. Israel has the 6-month rule; if it expires within 6 months of the trip, it needs to be renewed. They do not consider it valid if it is expiring within 6 months of our trip. I have contacted a few travelers who I know that this will affect, but please double check your passports!!
• Itinerary
Several students have inquired about the changes on the myss Israel itinerary.
We are still going to all of the destinations that were stated on the Original Overview - http://www.myss.com/CMED/workshops/israel/

• Weather and clothing:
September - October – November:
Some will argue and say that this is the nicest season of the year in Israel.
Average
Temperatures (Minimum to Maximum):
| | October |
| Jerusalem | F° C° | 60-78 16-25 |
| Tel Aviv/Haifa | F° C° | 59-84 16-29 |
| Tiberias | F° C° | 65-89 18-32 |
| Dead Sea | F° C° | 75-90 24-32 |
| Eilat | F° C° | 69-92 20-33 |
Weather in Israel is wonderful. Long pants and shirts will protect you from the very strong sun but shorts and tea shirts are permitted. Please understand that we are in a foreign country and their clothing standards can be a bit different from ours.
(I personally will be wearing jeans/khakis/long sleeve shirts and tee shirts. I will not be wearing any open toed shoes.)
Please bring a light jacket/sweatshirt for the evenings.
If you have anymore questions please contact Cindy@myss.com
See you all very soon!
